Description:
Here's the proclaimed final release for the much-loved D-Day + 7.2 CoD2 map by Twig Masters. This wonderful recreation of the CoD/CoDUO map by the same name features all of what you enjoyed in the old map, but with the beauty of CoD2 graphics and smoothness of its gameplay. wink And in this second release, you'll find all sorts of new stuff to keep you interested, such as support for all the gametypes now, breakable windows, and other small changes you'll just have to discover for yourself. smile Just check out the screenshots below to see it in action, and download this awesome new version of D-Day + 7.2 today! Two Thumbs Up!

NEW FEATURES:
Gametypes: Map now supports DM, TDM, CTF, HQ and SD
More spawns added for all gametypes
Destroyed 88 was replaced with not destroyed
Windows are now breakable
Map name has changed to "mp_d-day+7.2" (removed the beta)
There have also been a few physical changes.

NOTE TO SERVER ADMINS:
To avoid the sum mismatch error on servers, simply rename "mp_d-day+7.2.iwd" to "m_dd.iwd" for example. Shorter "IWD" names will help to avoid this error on servers. The name of the "IWD" will not effect visitors to your server. The game doesnt look at the name of the "IWD". It only looks at the name of the ".map" file inside. So as long as visitors have the most current version they should have no problem connecting.

WARNING!!!
DO NOT open the iwd and rename the ".map" file. Rename the iwd only.

I'm very glad you decided to include the .map file for other mappers to view! I wish more mappers would do this!

I just downloaded and I don't know what you are seeing but there is NO .map file in the folder.Only a .iwd and a readme.

To include the .map would be a big mistake for a mapper as that would allow anyone to modify the map as they see fit and release it..not a good idea.

We really like the map. Best breaking glass effect I have seen so far.
I noticed that it sometimes take several rounds from my carbine to break a window and that you can be invited to grab the halftrack's MG even though you are still outside the vehicle (near the rear, both sides). Again, a very minor thing, great map. Thanks for releasing it.

Ok everyone who thinks the original ".map" file is included... you must be confused. I saw one post about it and decided to ignore it. Then two so I looked into it. The file is NOT there. The only files in the "iwd" are the files needed for the map. Besides, the original ".map" is no were near where the bsp is after compiling it. So the chances of placing it in the IWD by mistake are slim and none. I may be new to mapping for COD2 but I'm not new to mapping in general. You might be thinking of another map you downloaded?

dunno I didn't download it, I said to look inside the .iwd because a guy said there was just a .iwd and .txt and I guessed he didn't know that .iwd are just some .zip with files inside.

In Headquarters, the Headquarters that drops underground at the East edge of the map, just behind the fenced vegie garden, seems to be inaccessible. If access is supposed to be through the tunnel (seems to run from trench bunker to underground chamber off dirt road) then how the heck do you get past the boarded up entrances to the tunnel?

No it is not a bug..... in a way it is a secret new addition to the map. There is a way in just use a little muscle and it will open for you. I added the tunnel to give the map a personal touch.

Now all that is needed on the new tunnel is a way to put the boards back after you're inside. That might be quite a surprise for the first enemy soldier that enters after you do (:-).

Is it stupid to let others modify? What difference does that make? I dont think that anyone including his MAP file in an iwd goes home crying all day...
