Blake222's Thompson Mod - File Description  


Description:
Here's a small Thompson mod for Call of Duty 2 single-player by a new author known as Blake222. It simply increases your Tommy gun magazine size to 50 rounds with 900 max ammo and armor piercing bullets. Sound a little daunting? Go try it out in-game and see for yourself. wink

Blake222, note that you don't have to include all those other weapon files in the future... i removed those to make the mod much smaller (about 15x smaller...).

someone needs to make a thompson skin
with the cocking lever on the top
and a drum, any size would do, preferably the 50
it can even go up to 200, but it becomes as heavy as the BAR
(saw it on tales of the gun: history channel)

For some reason the mod isn't working. I removed all other mods and I just get a 20 round clip, with max ammo of 260.

okay future advice im not ripping on you!! just take this in consideration
i know this is one of your first mods
in the future
add more content to your file
build and expand off of what you have made
and test the file alot!
thats all
good job fora a first timer i guess
(even tho its just changing one variable)

It`s a mod, if you know what it is you may see the point. Why dont you make your own? This is he`s first mod EVER, dont think you could do better if it was your first....

#3: You'd better check all your IWD files, the only place where the weapons are supposed to be in the stock version is in IWD 13. Or you could look inside the IWD file that you downloaded and see if the thompson is in the correct folder. That is, weapons/sp/

Hey guys. thanx sgthaarde i took ur advice on looking at the forums and learn from that. well, obvisouly i did!

At this point i am creating a larger mod including this mod, the m1 garand being reloadable in midclip, all snipers in game have clips so u dont have to put each single round in, you reload faster with all snipers, the bren has 28 rounds because that is more realistic, and much more! if u have any ideas, just tell me. i am only experienced in weapon scripting, so bear w/ me! If someone could help me in finding a good photoshop tutorial, that would be greatly appreciated!

either you're blind or retarded. For starters theres a heck of a lot more ammo.
If you were trying to point out that the skin isn't any different, well....it's not a skin!
anyway... its alright, i like the ideas you're coming up with. 7.5/10

#10: You can blow up ANY vehicle using bullets. However I wouldn't try playing the credits with it, because the submachinegunners can take out the halftrack. And don't even think about shooting stukas.

Well, for a first, it's good, my first had been a localization mod. It went reasonably well some of the later mods were used in the 82nd AB server for a while, before WRM just came out with teh correct names. Keep pushing you'll get some pretty good mods out I bet
