Description:
Here's a great new client utility from MRUSmarty, which makes it quicker and easier to create your own flashing game name script.  It allows you to enter your clan tag, your name, how many times you want your name color to change, and the number of milliseconds between each change. Then, you go to "Edit>Create Script", and the required script will be generated! From there, you can add the color codes to the script by pressing the little corresponding color buttons in the main window. What is COD2 Flashing Name Maker?
---------------------------------
COD2 Flashing Name Maker is a program I made not only for myself but for people who do not like to take the time to make scripts and mess with color codes which can be a little frustrating at times. This is not for everybody, I know there are some people who will say "This is useless" and will bash" but this program is for only people who do not have the time and write the script themselves, and want to quickly and easily create it.
Installation
------------
1. Unzip this directory.
2. Double-Click on COD2 Flashing Name Maker.
3. The program should then load up.
4. Fill in the textboxes asking your clan tag, name, steps, and wait.
5. Go to Edit->Create Script
6. The script should then create and you then should then click where you want the colors to be placed on your name. Then you click the color you want.
7. When you are done with your script. Go to File->Save and save it as whatever.cfg in your COD2/main directory.
8. Go into Call of Duty 2 and type in console /bind [key] exec whatever.cfg
9. At the end of the map, press the key you chose that execs the file and it will flash you name the colors you have chose.

Posts: 190 | i cant make it work after i made it... i save it as snake, it gets converted to a cfg and then i go to cod2 and put /bind o exec snake.cfg and it wont work! then i go into a map, and try it again, and i push button at the end of game and it still wont work! any1 know why? |

i started using it in normal cod
for some explanation IT DOESN4T WORK IN SEARCH & DESTROY
the procedure : 1) make it , save it in your cod main map !
2)save it for example namechanger , but save it as a CFG file so you get save as : namechanger.cfg
now open the game and type /bind (a key you want) exec namechanger.cfg
now in the game or on the scoreboard press that button E VOILA !!!!!

Posts: 1 | I can't get it to work either ,file as been saved as [whatever.cfg] but when i press the binded key nothing happens , except that my name as changed to Unnamed player on the end map screen & in my multiplayer options i have tried this on all game types & the same thing happens please help i am at a loss as what to do or try |

Posts: 22 | I cant get it to work.....I can get it created and saved...(under main in cod2 folder)...but then i type in /bind l say namechanger.cfg then every time i hit l it says namechanger.cfg.....Im really confused |

Ex; /exec "nameofyourfile".cfg (no quotes)

location: programfiles / activision / main / players/ ... / config_mp
open it
start a new line
type /bind k exec thename.cfg
(or any other number)

Posts: 1 | I think im not saving it in the right place. I save it under activision/COD2/Main and save it in there. I dont save it in any other folders in there. So when i type /bind_P_exec_whatever.cfg nothing happens. All i get is Unknown Cmd on the bottom left. What is going on?!?!? Can some one help???? |

Posts: 3 | Are you putting that underscore? If so that's your problem. Should be like this.
/bind p exec whatever.cfg
You don't bind capitol letters either. Use lowercase. |

it goes like this in the game

so i can change my name a lot in the middle of the game

Bonus: Color apperiance in COD2 Multiplayer
Go in the menu to change the neame of the player to color it do this
First: lets just say I want to name my player as (Red Wolf) i want the color red in Red and Wolf in green this is how its done and this will apperan while u play ans ur saying something to someone
u have to enter it twice ok
^^11Red^^22Wolf (ok) u can put any name insted of red and wolf and color just hit it wice like in the example and u have to put this ^^ twice to..
^^ enter twice and then the number twice for the color ok.
