Here we have a very cool new client utility by Marcus Oldin called the COD2 VoiceCommander. As the name suggests, this tool can actually help you voice-activate certain parts of your game! Virtually anything you can bind (except keys that need to be held like movement buttons) you can attach a voice command to. Naturally, there's a much larger technical side to it, but you'll have to figure that out on your own. stick out tongue

	Readme File: Utility: COD2 VoiceCommander 1.0 Author: Marcus Oldin Nick: Spouse Requirements: Windows platform (tested on XP only) with .NET Framework 2.0 installed. Description: This utility can be used to control parts of COD2 by voice. for example, if you have a headset and say "voice grenade" into the mike, you will throw a grenade in the game. The utility is fully configurable, so (almost) anything you can bind to a key in COD2 you can use your voice to control. Its not possible to use voice to "go left", "run" or anything else that will require a long key-press. COD2 VoiceCommander is an "addon" to COD2 Player Notifier, so you get that one as well - but you dont have to get those notifications if you dont want to. The utility automatically monitors the (COD2)server of your choice and notifies you when a player enters or leaves the server. The notification consist of balloon-popup with an extra sound-notification option for when you want to play but are afk. Content: The package includes COD2 VoiceCommander Setup, Licence-information, this readme-file, a list of valid keycodes in COD Voicecommander, a config-file with binds for COD2. Installation: 1. Unzip to a directory of your choice. 2. copy the config-file (binds.cfg) to your COD2 main-directory. 3. run Setup to install COD2 VoiceCommander, and the speech api. I HIGLY RECOMMEND SETTING UP SPEECH-RECOGNITION IN THE CONTROLPANEL BEFORE YOU START. READ MORE ABOUT HOW TO DO THAT BELOW. Usage: Start the application from the start-menu or the desktop icon. First use: Check out settings by right-clicking on the icon in the taskbar. In the tab Speech Recognition you can add/change or delete existing commands. You must Always say the magic word before the command. Example: You have binoculars bound to the b button in COD2. Now you want to add a voice-command to look into the binoculars. In settings_Speechrecognition: add a command named "look far" and the key to be pressed is b. Click OK, and restart the application. From now on you can say "[Magic Word] look far" to look into the binoculars. Default magic word is "voice". Be sure to right-click the ServCheck icon and change the settings to monitor the server of your choice. When the settings are done the application will notify you whenever a player joins or quits the monitored server. IF YOU GET BAD RECOGNITION RESULTS READ HERE! In the control panel, doubleclick "speech" and check out the settings, and wizards here. Just by configuring this (takes about 2 minutes) your recognition rate should be much better. Remember that this is an english recognition engine, so using german command names can be hard in some cases, but it can always be better if you use english spelling... for example: Schwein could be more recogniceable after changing the spelling to shwine.. Voice-commands out of the box: (should work if you load the config-file in COD2) COMMANDNAME Key Description miffo m screams out a "random" taunt. heeheehee k smilie damn u "random good work"-message. hahaha l "random lol"-message crap i "random angry"-message grenade g Throw a frag-grenade hello h "random hello"-message thanks n Thank-you-message warning INS warning before a bash-just to annoy ;-) camper p dont like campers? make your voice heard... headshot o say I can do THAT with my eyes closed. smoke grenade 4 throw a smoke-grenade binoculars b look in binocs yes sir PGUP scream Yes sir! no sir PGDN scream No Sir! ...and more... Check out settings for the complete list. Only one command name cannot change: "Shut down voice regognition" - will shut down speech-recognition for the remainder of the game.
