COD4 1.7 Patch - File Description

Description:

The Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare patch 1.7 has been released already! It addresses some pretty important issues:

* Fixed an exploit that allowed players to access certain console dvars during multi-player matches.
* Fixed a crash that could occur when a Chinatown Sabotage match would go into over-time.
* Fixed a bug where the MP icons (Bomb, Defend, Capture, etc) were always showing up as English regardless of the install language.

Important: this patch is incremental. That means it requires patch 1.6 for those of you upgrading from a fresh install.

That was pretty fast, but idk if I should install it or not, because it seems pretty useless to me... Because I never play Sabotage, I don't even know what they're talking about in the dvar thing and I play in english anyway.

They need to make an update on the mod tools, with a better tutorial and easier way to mod.

Good fix, and Sabotage is the best MP mod i have ever experienced in CoD series.

the game ran fine with 1.6 then i installed 1.7 now it kicks me to decktop with an error.iw3mp.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close,and i also have the auto update now.

Can somebody help me? I cant run my 1.7 patch.. I installed it and everything was normal... But when i try to run game i can only play only 1.6 versions... So i tray again to install patch 1.7 and it says that i have already installed that patch ( not working at game) here is ss: http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/9382/necezi5.jpg
But its not working, 1.6 works fine.. If anybody know something about this please help me...

Somethings not right
I had no wanna update above join game
then I updated after seeing patch here
Now I get wanna update after updating when I wasnt offered update when I didnt have it
So when 1.8 going to fix this it seems only every other patch works.

I updated COD4 with this patch but it says that i can only play 1.6 games but when i try to patch 1.7 again it says I already patched it

hey, the solution for the problem while trying to install 1.4 patch or other installation issues on cod4MW such as an 1719 error related to windows installer, the solution is to use winrar, just compress the patch.exe or any .exe file that is giving you problems and run it from the compressed file, from inside winrar, do not uncompress it after you compress it, just run it from the .rar file

that worked for me, and ive installed all patchs successfully

Make sure to make a back-up file for Call of duty 4 Single-player (Iw3sp.exe) before patching to avoid CoD4 singleplayer crash to desktop. If your CoD4 SP before the patch does not work, Re-Install your CoD4 (v.1) then make a back-up the SP and patch the CoD4 MP.

note: u can patch the CoD4 SP only in certain versions. I patch my SP until v 1.1.......
