Chateau (v1.1) - File Description  


Description:
Here's an excellent CoD2 recreation of the classic Chateau map by a new developer known as R/|wEEE. And this one, dare I say it, is far better than the original; not only is it compatible in Search and Destroy (something new for Chateau), but it's also got tons of new physical modifications that give it more playability and increase the action in this already exciting map. Just check out the screenies below to get an idea of how it looks, and download this sweet new remake today!

Installation Instructions:

extract the .zip file and copy the mp_chateau.iwd in your call of duty 2/main folder

I had some problems with loadscreen sou i didnt put it on the map srY :(

I love Chateau, and this is a good port over to COD2.

Only real criticism I have is that it has no load screen.

Well done though.

Read the readme, #1. I think it looks Awesome! the only thing is, I don't own a server, so i can''t really do anything with it. But i like it! 9/10 Tell her that you love her! But I don't! Then you need to chug!
I'll give it a 10/10 when i see a loadscreen.

still have problems with a flickering texture unfortunatly, at the back of the castle. It looks very annoing eek!

Did do - no excuse for it though, loadscreens are easy enough. There are plenty of tutorials on how to do them (if need be, see mine at IWNation forums).

It just looks very annoying see that checker-squared default 'missing' IWI file.

why did you use ext_wall textures for some of the ground surfaces?

A little unimaginative (& basic) in the texturing department but other than that not bad...

The spawns on this map are terrible for CTF. You spawn right at your flag. No way to get the flag then. And spawn killing is easy here. The ladders outside the windows are ugly, and there are way too many german flags with swastikas.
Overall a 6/10.

If you walk around the rim of the castle, you can get out of the map mad
