Hill 24 (v1.2) - File Description  


Description:
Here's yet another sweet new (and original!) map, this time by Boozer -- the guy who makes my favorite maps. smile This one has an awesome and very creative atmosphere to it that makes it similar to the Hill 400 maps (hey, even the name is similar), while adding so much more to give you an even better gaming experience. We're talking tunnels, strategically placed firing positions, brilliantly laid natural cover objects, and much, much more! In addition to the aesthetic perfection, it supports up to 32 players in the game in DM, TDM, SD, and CTF. Installation
------------

Extract mp_hill24 into your Call of Duty2\main folder.

To play the map, start Call of Duty2 and create a server. Choose "hill24" from the server map list. You can also start the map by typing /map hill24 in the console.

Players: Recommended for about 8 - 30 players, but the map supports up to 32 players in team games.

I'm getting the same errors, even after the first 1.2 came out it had errors. its a great map, too bad for the errors.

Guys the error is caused by the fact there is not *_fx.gsc, either copy across the one from the old version or create (via notepad) a file called mp_hill24_fx.gsc and place in the iwd in the map/mp dir (with the mp_hill24.gsc), you can open the iwd with either winrar or zip.

Poor old boozer is jus having a bad day trying to get the map to us as fast as possible smile

One other thing (and I apologise for yet another post) the original *_fx.gsc has everything // out, so if you want the dust to be seen remove the // at the start of each line.

As some feedback boozer I think the dust wind or fogbank etc, could be extended furtherthicker (in parT) across the map to provide for more cover, either that or add some **** something that gives you a basis for more smoke, destroyed vehicle wotever.

Assuming the guys add in the gsc file though the map is certainly good as is cool

I tried the above suggestions.. I got a suggestion.. FIX THE FREAKING GLITCH.. It may be a really great map.. but If I have to jack around with it.. I'm not gonna bother running it on my server.

this map is corrupt, what name do i put in rotation i use mp_HILL24 as in the arena file but my server will not start.
