Description:
Here is the latest version of Josh "JD" Olin's ModernRcon for CoD4. This update will fix some bugs in the system, like it crashing when the server doesn't respond, and also add a ton of new features. You can check out all of the updates in the read-me, but here are a few to summarize:


  • Gametypes tab for modifying gametype settings.
  • Map Rotation tab for viewing / modifying rotation settings.
  • Map Rotation tab for viewing / modifying rotation settings.
  • Messages tab for sending + scheduling server messages.
  • Maps tab - Added a preview to the to-be-loaded map.
  • Maps tab - Added the ability to specify a gametype to load.
  • Players tab - Added a button for sending private messages.

Overview:

This is a program designed to allow Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare server
admins the ability to monitor and control their CoD4 servers remotely,
without having to be in-game playing.

Requirements:

Java
- latest version recommended
- www.java.com

Usage:

Just run the ModernRcon executable in any Windows environment. You must
provide your server IP, port, and Rcon Password. Default port for CoD4
is 28960.

Current Release Features:
* View server information (gametype, map, name, players, etc).
* Kick, Ban, TempBan, and monitor players.
* Restart Map, FastRestart Map, Load next map.
* Load a selected map from a list of maps.
* Set a new gametype when loading a map from a list.
* Manually enter commands into the console and read responses.
* Configure all aspects of all supported gametypes.
* View / modify map rotation settings. Easy tools like Rotation Builder exist!
* Send messages to the server.
* Send messages to individual players.
* Setup rotating messages to display to the server on an interval.

Future Releases:
* Server List for saving credentials.
* Tabbed server browsing (monitor multiple servers from one program).
* Additional controls: Global game settings, Weapons / Perks, other arbitrary DVAR controls.
* Auto-refresh intervals.
* Saving / loading message rotations.

Changes:
- Fixed the header, a bug where with long server names all the text got jumbled.
- Fixed a crash when server stopped responding, handled with a dialog box.
- Modified the Console tab giving the ability to clear the console.
- Added confirm dialogs on powerful functions like Ban Player and Kick All.

I never liked using rcon tools before because I could simply do all the commands in game... But with CoD4, its alot easier to kick, ban, etc with this tool. smile

Hi,

Great file but two suggestions

1) a way to keep your server ip so it logs in automatically or at least so you dont have to type it in each time

and

2) When you click on a map and it shows its picture, if you move down with the arrow keys instead of clicking on it then the map picture doesnt change.

Hi,

Another two suggestions, message rotation saving so i dont have to paste my messages back in every time i run the program.

Also player list auto refreshing.
