great tutorial only one question: you siad: set layer opacity down a liitle until u can see were the wood overlays. But how do you do that with which button.. 10/10

deazberry, on the right of the screen there is a layers pallete. above it there are some boxes that say opacity and fill. click on opacity and turn it down.

I did everything, reskinned the G43, but in the game, the skin looks all messed up and digital looking. I can send you a screenshot, maybe you'd know what I did wrong. My email is spyhntr123@yahoo.com

sorry for double posting but I found out what was wrong, when you save the .DDS you need to make sure its in a specific format, like DDX 5 or DDX 1 something like that. Now the skins work. The other tutorials better; it tells you more.

when i need to install the plug-in it says it can't find the 3dmax thing so it need to find it in a folder. When i put in the thing you said to put in it says it can't find it.

When i click "place here" or whatever for 3DS_Max_DDS_Plugin_1.0.0827.1100.exe
its saying "Cannot Find 3ds Max in this directory, please search and try again.

I followed all the stops to skinning, did my skin, made it back into a iwi, stuck it in a folder called images, made sure the name was correct, zipped it using WInRar and changed it to a .IWD a placed it in the main folder with the prefix of zzz_ however, i can't make it work at all in game. I saved the dds file as a dxt 5 too. does anyone know why its not working?

I can't install the .dds plug in... it says when i even go to C stick out tongue
