Road to Hill 400 - File Description  


Description:
Here we have the first map for Call of Duty 2 by the author S.C.! It's actually an SP-to-MP conversion because the tools for map creation aren't available yet, but that doesn't mean anything -- it's still some awesome news! wink This map is of the "Road to Hill 400" defense mission in the American single-player campaign, and it's just as cool in multi-player as it was there. It's got the same great landscaping and strategy, and it's open to a maximum of 16 players. The map currently only supports Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, but you could quite possibly recreate the single-player game with attack-defense tactics and a number of your friends! big grin Check out the screenshot below of this excellent conversion, and download it now! Description:
Single player hill400_defend map converter to for multiplayer play. Supports DM & TDM.

Note:
I was getting tired of waiting for the Tools to come out so decided to try and see how hard or easy it would be to convert a sp map for mp. To do this test, I’ve decided to start small, so I choose hill400_defend, a small yet very open map so there’s only 16 spawn points. This was a test so it isn’t the perfect conversion but it should work for the most part on a dedicated hosted game. If the tools don’t come out soon and if I have the time, I’ll try to convert bigger/better maps.

Game types:
dm / tdm

Install:
Place zzz_mp_hill400_test.iwd in your game's "main" folder.

Issues:
- Designed to supports up to only 16 players
- Only works when hosted Dedicated
