The Voice of War (1.0 Beta) - Readme
Readme File:
*To the reader: this ReadMe only contains the most important information about The Voice of War©. To view the included files, pak layout, credits, or contact info, please see the "-ReadMe!-" file in your Start Menu or the .txt files in the Call of Duty\VOW_v1.0_beta\ folder upon installation of The Voice of War©.*

---Important Notes---
To be allowed to join any servers running The Voice of War© or to host a server yourself, you have three main options to activate the mod:
1. Run CoDMP, select the mod from the mods menu.
2. Run the included start menu or desktop "Call of Duty - The Voice of War" shortcut.
3. Add "+set fs_game VOW_v1.0_beta" to your Call of Duty command line.

*Note that numbers 2 and 3 may not work if you customization the installation directory's location and title.*

---Features---
-You can still join pure servers with The Voice of War© installed!

-The Voice of War© is compatible with all stock gametypes: Behind Enemy Lines, Deathmatch, Headquarters, Retrieval, Search and Destroy, and Team Deathmatch.

-Brand new voice message anti-spam system where you can speak any time directly after the previous message has finished. In the stock Call of Duty anti-spam system, you had to wait a preset time. This was highly annoying when you had to quickly follow-up with another message.

-Bug fixes for the glitches in the stock weapons include:
*fixed out-of-sync BAR reload sound
*fixed wrong reload-when-empty animation on MP44
*fixed wrong reload-when-empty animation on FG42

-There are four different types of voice messages: shout, whisper, squad radio, and taunts (explained in detail below).

.:Shout messages:.
Pros:
-display in the upper chatbox to the entire team
-sound travels further so more teammates are likely to hear and respond
Cons:
-sound travels particularly far and may compromise your position to the enemy

Message types and subcategories under "Shout Messages":
-Squad Commands (ex: "Squad, move in!")
-Individual Commands (ex: "Follow me!", "Cover me!")
-Statements & Responses (ex: "Yes sir!", "Grenade, take cover!")
-Each category contains 8 voice messages.

.:Whisper messages:.
Pros:
-nearly eliminates the possibility of being compromised by the enemy
-very useful for a squad travelling in a tight group
Cons:
-will only be seen in text displayed in the lower left corner by teammates within audible range of the whisper

Message types and subcategories under "Whisper Messages":
-Squad Commands (ex: "Squad, move in!")
-Individual Commands (ex: "Follow me!", "Cover me!")
-Statements & Responses (ex: "Yes sir!", "Grenade, take cover!")
-Each category contains 8 voice messages.

.:Squad Radio:.
The squad radio has no particular pros or cons since it will neither improve nor weaken your game. The squad radio contains 10 "Goal Messages" (ex: "Good job team!", "We've lost an objective!"). Your entire team will always hear these no matter where they are on the map.

.:Taunts:.
Pros:
-degrade your enemy!
-good for a laugh, again and again =)
Cons:
-may be overused by some people (my suggestion: keep voting enabled so you can boot 'em)

Analysis of the taunts:
-Taunts 5 and 6 ("Watch that friendly fire!", "Hey, I'm on your team!") function as shout messages. Your entire team sees them in the chatbox, and you can be overheard for a fairly long distance.
-The Russian special taunts function nearly the same as shout messages. However, they can be overheard from even LONGER distances than shout messages (which in this case, is a good thing.. try them out and you'll see), and they do not display in the chatbox at all (if they did, you'd probably get annoyed very fast). Note that they work best when more than one person 'activates' them at the same time.
-All other taunts not mentioned above are heard and seen by everyone in the game.
-Each team has 8 taunts plus their own unique taunts, which are located in "[Special Taunt]". When you activate the "[Special Taunt]", a unique message is randomly selected and initiated. The Americans have 3 different 'specials', the British 4, the Russians 15 (yes fifteen), and the Germans 3.

*If you have any suggestions, check out "Contact Info" and give me a holler! If I include a feature from a you, I'll throw your name in the credits!*
