Description:

This script allows you to easily switch to any weapon using only your mouse wheel (you do have a mouse wheel, don't you?). Scroll up to switch to your pistol, down for grenades, and click to switch to your main weapon. If you have two main weapons, clicking the mouse wheel will switch between them, starting with the last one used

	Weapons 2 - Readme

	Readme File: ---------------------- [weapons2.cfg] ---------------------- This script allows you to easily switch to any weapon using only your mouse wheel (you do have a mouse wheel, don't you?). Scroll up to switch to your pistol, down for grenades, and click to switch to your main weapon. If you have two main weapons, clicking the mouse wheel will switch between them, starting with the last one used. Open the file with notepad and check the binds. If you use anything other than the default numbers for weapons, this will overwrite them unless you change the numbers. Look for the section that looks like this: bind 1 "vstr primary" bind 2 "vstr primaryb" bind 3 "vstr pistol" bind 4 "vstr grenade" bind 5 "vstr smokegrenade" Change the numbers 1-5 to whatever you use. Version 2: Added support for smoke grenade used in some mods. If you are not playing a mod with smoke grenades, this script will work exactly like version 1

fools.. when you use your mouse wheels all you are doing is nextweapon/previous weapon.

what he did is make it so
mouse wheel up = pistol
mouse wheel down = nades
mouse wheel click = rifle

u can also just go to controll settings, and put those keys, mouse weel up/down/click on the specified weapon slots...so u get the same result, that doesnt need a mod...

You can't use the controls menu to set mouse wheel click to "switch to last used main weapon, if it's already on a main weapon then switch to the other one". That's what this script does. It also includes support for smoke nades.

Untrue. The mousewheel click is called Mouse Button Three. You can bind any command to it.

Is it possible to use alter this script so it will switch between primary (slot 1) and pistol (slot 3) without scrolling through slot 2?

Yes, the mouse wheel is mouse button 3 and you can bind any command to it. However, "switch to last used main weapon, if it's already on a main weapon then switch to the other one" is not a command, so you cannot bind mouse3 or any other key to it. Try it; if you type the following in the console, it won't work:

bind mouse3 "switch to last used main weapon, if it's already on a main weapon then switch to the other one"

The purpose of my script is to make the mouse wheel and mouse button three function as if the above command really did work.

And to answer the question in comment #10, this script makes it so that scrolling is ALWAYS weaponslot #3 (i.e. pistol), no matter what weapon you currently have out. Ther is no need to scroll through anything.

This is a silly mod, but good job anyway. Is it possible to make a script which allows you to minimize CoD via the alt+tab combo?
