SWBF2 Lazer Tag
By Jaspo

To install, put the LTS folder in your addon folder:
(Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Battlefront II/GameData/addon)
and the LTS LVL file in the SIDE folder:
(Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Battlefront II/GameData/data/_lvl_pc/side)

So, I suppose you're wondering what this is. Well, it's a little something that adds a lazer tag
mission to each of the SWBF2 stock maps. These missions play like regular conquest missions but
have only one unit type with one weapon: a single shot non-overheating unlimited ammo lazer tag
pistol with no aiming reticule that kills in one shot. So, in essence, this is Instagib for the
stock maps, without the cheating HUD aimer thingie. So to all you snipers-from-the-hip out there,
this mod is definitely for you.
It is called lazer tag because the gameplay is very similar to said sport.

Due to the way I did the addme.lua, for lack of better knowledge, this mod does make the maplist
look a little funny; first note that in the game menu the lazer tag mode is listed as custom mode 3.
Additionally, each of the stock maps is listed twice, and also has all of the game modes
listed twice, but as you will find out, for one of the listings only the lazer tag mode is usable,
and for the other, everything but the lazer tag mode is usable. Even though the missions appear
to be there twice, they are not actually, so don't worry about the 500 mission issue, well, except
that this will add 18 missions due to having one lazer tag mission per stock map.
The missions are all set as GCW era, so check the correct box accordingly when adding them to the
playlist.

Note to developers: As you may have noticed, I am including the LVL for the lazer tag sides in this
package, and since it gets placed in the data folder rather than the addme folder, it can be easily
used to add this mode to your own maps. The only thing you won't get is the localization. But anyway,
all you need to do is take your gcw conquest mission LUA and save it as ***g_c3 (as always, *** means
your 3 letter map name). Then change this part to say this instead of what's currently there:

--------------------------------------------------------------------

ReadDataFile("SIDELTS.lvl",
"LTS_inf_rifleman1",
"LTS_inf_rifleman2")

SetupTeams{
all = {
team = ALL,
units = 25,
reinforcements = 150,
soldier = { "LTS_inf_rifleman1",15, 25},

},
imp = {
team = IMP,
units = 25,
reinforcements = 150,
soldier = { "LTS_inf_rifleman2",15, 25},
},
}

-- Level Stats
ClearWalkers()
AddWalkerType(0, 0) -- special -> droidekas
AddWalkerType(1, 0) -- 1x2 (1 pair of legs)
AddWalkerType(2, 0) -- 2x2 (2 pairs of legs)
AddWalkerType(3, 0) -- 3x2 (3 pairs of legs)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

...since you probably don't want armored vehicles and such in the middle of a lazer tag match...

...and then do the other necessary steps to getting your custom game mode added.

Huh? What's this you say? Need a refresher course on how to add that pesky custom game mode?
Ok, fine.

So you have your ***g_c3 LUA, right? And you did save it again after copying, renaming, and
changing it, right? Good.

Well then, only a few more short steps to go.

1. go to the addme.lua file (in the addme folder) and make sure that it has whatever else you have for game modes and also this:

-----------------------

sp_missionselect_listbox_contents[sp_n+1] = { isModLevel = 0, mapluafile = "***%s_%s", era_g = 1, era_c = 1, mode_c3_g = 1,}
mp_n = table.getn(mp_missionselect_listbox_contents)
mp_missionselect_listbox_contents[mp_n+1] = sp_missionselect_listbox_contents[sp_n+1]

AddDownloadableContent("***","***g_c3",4)

-----------------------

Anything with that g_c3 business has to be added to it, in case you have no idea what you're looking at.LOOK UP HERE ^
AND HERE ^

Ok, so your addme is hopefully now sufficient.

Two more steps.

2. find the mission.req file in the Common folder within data_***. Under the part that says "LVL" put ***g_c3.

3. In the mission folder (found north of the mission.req file on your monitor, in ascending list view)
create a ***g_c3.req file (ie copy the ***g_con.req file that you probably already have and change it's
copy's name to ***g_c3.req) and open it with notepad and make it say:

--------------------------------------

ucft
{
REQN
{
"script"
"***g_c3"
}
}

--------------------------------------

Ok, actually one more step.

4. Munge.
