Posts: | Well i was really looking forward to COD however what they seem to have made a mistake on is that in multiplayer you get to see who killed you and where, well altho this might seem a good idea to many it wont be a good idea for klan matches, as the player that gets killed can then using roger wilco or teamspeak tell his klan mates where you were lol very silly move i think this will kill the game slightly, if you find a gr8 hiding spot do you really want someone knowing where you are i know i dont. |

Posts: 4 | PPPPPPPPPPPPlease put a COOP ;'( . Ive bought so many games that shouted for COOP, or coop that was like the singleplayer missions(exp.ghost recon). Take Vietcong for example. IT was such a good game, but the coop mode stinks; its nothing like the single player mode. It makes me so mad that a game could have so much potential and then the develpers decide not to put a COOP mode in a WaR game, for god sakes its a worldwarII game IT NEEDS a coop! how hard could it be, they already have the singleplayer maps made, just put a few more people simutaniously on the the SP maps and fix the bugs that may occur. I dont see myself buying this game when it comes out if there is no COOP mode. I mean....come on HL2 is coming out and 2 games = 80$ and unless COD has coop mp replay value I think Ill wait untill the price goes down 10$, and then ill buy it. deathmatch is getting boring anywayz, 5 years of deathmatch can do that to ya. |

Posts: | I've played Battlefield 1942 so many times, me and my friend play the game many time's, cause there is a co-op function, and with the many good mod's there are, it's always stays fun, and then, i downloaden the demo of COD, and there was news that there will be Co-op, we where very exited, now i do have the full game, i love the game, nice graphics, fast, overall a very GREAT game, but, i could cry when i heard that the game has NO co-op after all, i whas so disapointed, such a sweet game, great theathers, and NO co-op, so sad, so Activision, pleace, correct this in a patch, or modder's, make the game perfect :d, and for activision, think about co-op, cause, i'm not the only one who's really sad and disapointed in you cause there is NO co-op. MOHAA whas good, battlefield i liked better cause the real WW-2 whas there & with co-op it is perfect, now COD is just an update of MOHAA, sad without the co-op, create a patch with co-op, and it will be the game of the year (maybe more years  ) |

We have several members who have purchased COD and enjoy playing it; however, the feedback that I have received, not recommending it to other squad members due to no coop game play. I for one have enjoyed the game, I like most of the multiplay game modes and especially loved the single game play. I must echo my squad mates seniments concerning no COOP. After running around and killing and being killed in the Multiplay arena, there isn't much else to the game. With Coop type game play, against A.Is. with specific objectives to be played out, using the team concept.........game has become somewhat a disappointment. Hopefully they will release a good patch in the near term future to add this functionality. I have found myself going back to Ghost recon for satisfaction of Good Coop type game play. Maybe if there are enough of us COD owners pleading for Coop...........maybe Activision will hear our pleads and comply............ |

I believe the default setting is 20,000 per player but it does not say if it means Kbytes, bits, or what.
It does not seem to work out for kbps at least not to my limited knowledge about the subject. And would seem to be even more unreal if they meant Kbytesps
Lets say for the sake of argument (this is *****uming I am right about the numbers) that if this is so then on a typical cable connect of 1.5Mb down and 256k up going by the up stream bandwidth you would think at 20,000 per player you would be just about out of bandwidth with 12 players ie... 20k multiplied by 12 would be 240,000 Kbps right under the 256 k upload??

MORPGs are also always talking about "Guilds" and "PC Interaction". However, whenever a poll is taken about a MORPG asking people what they're looking forward to the most it's always 1. Character development, 2. Combat and 3. Exploration. PC interaction is always dead last.
So why do developers always put so much emphasis on interaction?
It seems these developers don't know their market very well.

You're either in a game already, or your using an illegal duplicate copy. Nut up and buy your own. |

Posts: 66 | Apparently some Q3 based games are funny about cd-keys ... try re-entering your cd-key in the multiplayer options. To change name colour, type ^3 before the rest of your name (replace 3 with different numbers for different colours). |

1. Someone with an illegal copy is using your cd-key, in which case you can call up either the retailers or Activision, prove you bought the game, and they'll issue you with a new cd-key.
2. When my little bro was playing it on his xp login, he quit the game without first disconnecting, logged off, then i logged on under my username, and when i tried to play it said the the cd-key was in use. I had to log in as him, join a server and disconnect before quitting.

Posts: | When Trying to setup a server so myself and a friend can play 1 on 1. The game closes to a window on the desktop saying it's contacting the activision server. Buttons are Copy, Paste and Clear.
Any ideas what the problem is??

Edit the "config.mp.cfg" file in Call of Duty>Main folder. Use Notepad.
Find the line "seta cg_drawCrosshairNames" and change the "0" to "1"
Then save the file. (DO NOT USE "Save As" as this will save the config file as a .txt, text file and this fix won't work)

You've probably not installed all of the patces, you must install patch 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4.

Now in multiplayer In thos British maps I keep seeing thes ppl with thos red berets and they get thos kick ***** Silenced Stens which really really kick ***** but i dont get no silenced Sten and im wearing a hard green helmet. what do i have to do, what must i complete so i can get thos red berets in British multiplayer missions with silenced Stens.

Posts: 1 | I really like bots, I would jump for joy if I saw a bot file for all or some multiplayer maps. I always seem to expect bots... Come on! If Activision or any other company can make bots in single player... (You know they are ((run away from grenades, throw them, get in different stances\but Activision programs in this stuff, where to go, throw grenades, where to take cover)) bots) ...then they can make it in multiplayer!! The maps in Call of Duty multiplayer(pure), are very similar to those of the singleplayer, all Activision needs to do is to make a waypiont here and there, delete some, take out any bugs, and post it online. Posts: 1 | I installed CoD last week, and both single and multi player worked just fine. Until today. Here's what it does:
- It says that CoD didn't close properly last time (even though it did).
- It asks if I want to start in Safe Mode (I say yes or no, and it doesn't work either way)
- Another window comes up and says it appears the computer has changed since I last played (it hasn't!) and asks if I want to the game to reconfigure itself (I say yes or no, and it doesn't work either way.)
- I totally uninstalled and reinstalled everything from scratch, and still multiplayer gives me the same stupid comments
NO hardware or software has been added or removed since I installed the game the first time, but it still won't work! I am terrible frustrated, having spent the last hour trying and trying and trying!
Any help would be appreciated! |

Please, refrain from the "get a legal copy" bit, That doesn't apply.
I had the game on my computer downstairs in the shop, the sun was glaring on it so I could not see well, so I moved the game to another gaming computer in the back of the shop that didn't have a sun glare problem. Ever since, which has been about 2 weeks ago, I have not been able to play online.
Anyone know how the server that checks these keys can be fixed?
We have 3 gaming computers in case you are wondering.
Anyone know who to contact to get this fixed?
