INTRODUCING CALL OF DUTY(TM), A NEW FIRST-PERSON ACTION GAME FOR THE PC
Developed by Infinity Ward--a newly formed studio including 22 of the individuals, and all of the production leads, who developed the PC title Medal of Honor: Allied Assault(TM).
Call of Duty(TM) delivers the gritty realism and cinematic intensity of World War II?s epic battlefield moments like never before - through the eyes of citizen soldiers and unsung heroes from an alliance of countries who together helped shape the course of modern history.
Play through the chaos of battle as part of a well-trained squad, that lays down covering fire and pulls its wounded to safety. In addition to authentic squad movements and tactics, each soldier?s distinct personality and training comes out on the battlefield.

Posts: 4 | Ok, i went to best buy to get the preorder of call of duty. I see that the preorder comes with an "EXCLUSIVE!" demo. THen I realize that the demo on the preorder is the same as the one online.
U have to be kidding me. If i pay some money($9.99) to get a preorder with an "Exclusive demo" I dont expect to see the same demo online for free.
ANyways just cant wait till this game comes out. I just hope the developers get smart and add a COOP. This game will be played for years and years if it had a coop. WIthout a coop i dont know if it will have much replay value. Not saying that the game is not good. Just saying a simple COOP will make this game 10x better than it already is. |

Posts: 3 | This game rocks! The Russian theater of the game is excellent! I know that we would get Normandy right but I never thought they would get the events of the Russian invasion right. How men were shot for retreating, how you start of w/o a weapon at all even the phrase "...Not one Step Back". I am truly impressed.
I would like to see a good mod introducing the Foo Fighters, (just for atmosphere) . I wish I could remember that special group of Australian forces in the Middle East that did strifing runs at the German bases at night. That would be an awesome mod. |

Posts: | I agree witht hose that said coop would make the game much better. Im really excited about playing this game and am having a lot of fun, but im sure it will get old without coop. I mean, yeah, it will get old with it too, but it will take a LOT longer. Coop would make this amazing game near perfect.
On a side note, Hidden and dangerous 2, which was recently released, doesnt have coop either. I hope this isnt the beginning of a trend. |

Posts: | take a look at the single player game, looks impressive and atmospher is outstanding but
can you imagine Doing that stalingrad run with your m8's next to you ( watching your m8 get shot and then laugh at them for not takeing cover).
look at Serius sam and serius sam 2, Both have coop player and i played them god knows how meny times with my friends, i still play them now.
these games are over 2 years old semi desent grafics yet still played alot today becouse of coop.
take half-life for another example, people played singleplayer and then multiplayer but they wanted somehting more and demanded to play the single-player missions with there friends. thats then (Sven coop) popped up look how sven coop is doing now they have joined up with Sierra/valve to make sven coop for half-life 2.
they are allso Continuesly updateing there maps and skins.
half-life is old yet still played alot i wonder why?
it has everything to go with it. (Single-player / Online DM/ TFC (CTF) / Sven coop (coop) / Half-life DM mod (DM) Ricocet(Weird Dm)/ CS(TDM/Object)
and alot more.
Now COD is allready very popular but will not stay like that for long inless they bring out More Options. Coop will give the game a Huge boost in popularaty probply allmost as high as Half-life

Oh! and tell someone to rethink some of the multiplayer maps.
i mean one map
1. White snowy map ( germans wear White Uniforms/ allies wear dark green) i mean dark green in white snow you get picked off from a mile away.
2. there is one map where the Russians have to bomb the flak cannons but there is only 2 roots to them and if there is enough Germans russians just get stoped in there tacks by granades and there is no cover on the russians side but huge amounts on the germans. (Bia's)

Posts: | I think coop missions would really make Call of Duty more interesting. Call of Duty is the first game I have played where enemy AI are harder to kill as they take cover behind walls, or go prone. It also requires some tactics to beat them (unless in easy mode, of course). There are downloads where enemy AI can become even tougher than in veteran mode. If we can come up with a coop mission that respawns a lot of AI, search and destroy missions would become really interesting. Learning the capabilities of your teammates and the weapons they use can really improve the experience and game play. We also would put use to those sound commands. |

Posts: | lol. You people need to learn some history before you say something is realistic. Yes, soldiers were shot for retreating. Yes, pavlov is a real place etc. But the Russians did NOT send soldiers out without guns. |

Posts: | The red army sent out there soldiers with very few weapons and ammo.. Go rent "Enemy at the gate" that IS the true way teh war time was for the motherland. the $ for weapons was not there.. therefore they sent 2 men out 1 with a rifle the other empty handed besides 3 bullets to put in the rifle after teh first man fell. yes they all had weapons at one time or another but it was 2 men to 1 rifle. therefore Russians DID send soldiers out without guns. |

Posts: 1 | When i was fighting on the last mission i had ran out of ammo for all of my guns exept my m1 carbine i pulled it out and i beat the whole mission with that one gun. |

Posts: 1 | This is old hat I am sure to everyone, except me. I downloaded a new MAP in a zip folder, expanded it. Now what? Do I move it to a particular folder? There is no installer filed enclosed. I would really like to know so I do not screw anything up.
