Posts: 2 | maybe some one can tell me im wrong but this seems an unfair way to find cheaters anyone could end up on this list i dont cheat myself and never would but what if some how i got put on the list my 50 dollers would be wasted what safe guards are there to stop just anyone being put on this list ? i think iw should be setting up some way to stop cheaters and tkers . this seems to me to a very vigilante approach to the problem .after all everyone seems to screams cheater when they get out played by a better player . i maybe totaly wrong in my opinion but who should have the right to say you cant play cod multiplayer because someone said you cheat . i hate cheaters as much as the next guy iw and activision need to address the problem fast befor it gets out of hand and the game becomes unplayable . just my thoughts happy to be flamed if im wrong .. |

Posts: 411 | I Went on a server and im a pretty good player i think .but what do i know ooh well back to point .when i played against a certain server ,i wont say who every move i made they knew every single time where i was i got slaughtered repeatietly over and over i tried to stand still in hiding spots and all of a sudden there he or she was.< dead >over and over i never got a shot in once we need a pgm like this to stop cheaters it sucks trying to play with loser cheaters.  |

Posts: 1 | I agree with #2 also , this is a very bulls*** way of going about it, I cant count the number of times iv bin banned on a server becouse the admin didnt like how good i was playing.Even the most average player is going to get on a streak and get many kills.Also , did i read that correctly? Collecting cd keys? WTF are you guys trying to do!!! I tell ya what , If my cd key gets ripped off becouse of the program or what ever it is, Ill be looking for somone in court.Good god ppl make a anticheat program not a stupid list of ip# you think were cheatting. OMG i can go on for hours, So ill just stop here. Sorry to the codfiles staff if i got out of line. |

This is a stupid Idea.
And collecting CD keys is only gonna end up with people who work hard for the £40 / $50 it takes to buy this game are probably gonna find themselves on the recieving end of a Unfair ban or find their key out in the open for all the damn cheapskate downloaders out there.
This program and its very idea was obviously thrown together and will just cause more problems than it will solve. |

Posts: 420 | someone take a couple photos of old murder cases (preferably gruesome) and make a fake newspaper saying several people who happen to cheat in online games was murdered by a new kind of serial killer-who proclaims his need to hunt down all cheaters! then spam it all over the net. spread the word around ingame too. then wait a few days and watch the hacking come to a standstill.  |

and collecting cd-keys is the most worst way of dealing with it, ur gonna rob somebody his 50$ because "he headshotted me with just one shot! i shot him seven times!" we all know that this game's realism system is not the best (speaking lightly) and that ***** can happen.
only if u have a solid proof ( a video like we made of a cheater going beserk with a 80-0 KR in 7 rounds of sd)
and it is approoved by a great amout of admins only then u can put him on this "list" of yours. |

Posts: 249 | Instead of cutting buddy up for trying to solve a problem, i prefer to help. The new patch coming out will have GUID available for recognition of players thru a player specific # code made up of a combo of your IP and cd key. This will help immensly and there will no need to ban cd keys. Im sure IW would want to just stop a cheater from using a cheat, not to stop ppl from being able to play and would not appreciate an organized group cutting off business for them.
So, goto http://www.punksbusted.com - This is how it should be done if you want to do it. Nobody gets put on there master ban list for any of there games til they go thru a rigorous screening, with demos, screenshots, major proof of a cheater caught. Only prob I see is CoD needs its anti-cheat soon. We need, as admins, to be able to take screenies like in SOF2's PunkBuster screenshots. This takes a screenshot of the players actual screen, showing exactly what they see on there monitor. If they see someone thru a wall, and you get a screenie at the right time, there caught. Ive caught um b4 myself in SOF2.
My biggest advice would be to wait til we have the ability to show proof before attempting your idea. Then rock & roll. Visit punksbusted. They are the best. |

Posts: | I think its stupid, one day i just shot around (little aiming on the bombspot, someone was planting it) and i kill him (in brecourt). Ofcourse he thinks I'm a cheater, but I'm not. So for that joke, I can play anymore on a server? It make no sense, they can't know 100% that I'm a cheater.

Posts: 15 | Some people don't have static IP's so when they turn their comp off, even with adsl, the next time they go on the net, their IP will be different and so if some poor person goes to play and ends up with that IP then they ain't going to be able to play. They'll see that they are banned and get pretty hacked off! I think using IP's is a flawed process because of this |

Posts: 2 | This sounds like another idea with good intentions that will most likely be abused for nefarious purposes or compound the wrongfull accusations of non cheaters. This would probably do just as much to damage to the COD online community than it would to stop cheaters.
This approach *****umes that admins are responsible and knowledgeable...and accurate with thier accusations. What if the admin is wrong? Since there is no anticheat software yet, admins opinoins are the only cheat detection method currently being used. When we do get the anticheat software, what if the anticheat software has a bug that labels someone a cheater when they are not (I guarantee it will happen occasionally)? Are you going to buy that person a new CD key so they aren't locked out of half the servers on the internet? We all know there are plenty of terrible admins out there. Any fool with a few extra $$ can rent a server.
I strongly believe that this idea would become a part of the problem, and not a solution

All of us dont have static ip:s soo it going to couse some truoble! I have fiberbroadband 10MBit/s and ill get a new ipadress everytime i turn on my computer!!! Soo if someone else have had that ipnr and have cheated im going to be banned!! AND i HATE cheaters btw!! |

So quite easily a cheater can just reboot his computer and rejoin the server. |

if my cd code gets riped becouse you've collected my ID (and this is done without my concent) or even with it...and someone else plays the game and gets banded...then I cant play?? thats bad...
need we really go on with this....just wait for activison to come out with punk buster or some such anti cheat ....
till then just take the names of the people who you "think" are cheating and flame them good...
