  Potd and Tech Support. - Network News

Hey all, As some of you may be aware there is a issue with the potd again. As it stands the staff cannot validate any pictures from the queues for there sites. This has been reported to the tech support and after turning there PCs off and on again they have figured out that it will take some looking into.
The reason we have not made a official announcement about this until now is that there is a queue system and staff can validate pictures for upto 3 weeks. I took the decision to wait until that period of time had passed to give out tech support time to fix it. Unfortunately that has not happened. In the meantime though one of our volunteer staff (Freyr) has been working on a workaround and has has some success so we should have the potd up and running soon but lets not forget other volunteer staff like SuperSmeg who added the pots as document pages that took a lot of time on his part.

I have seen some pretty obtuse comments from a few individuals about this issue and that has to stop. You are making assumptions but stating that you know things as fact. You do not know anything about the issues here. I will also not tolerate any abuse of the volunteer staff here. They do a amazing job and are the most dedicated of people that you will ever meet.

TECH SUPPORT

We have a dedicated system now inplace to handle any technical issues with all aspects of GameFront from Main .com site through the forums down to these network sites.
It is a ticket based system so you will be able to see your conversations with out tech support guys.

Here is a list of item that you do not need to report as they are listed as known to out IT department.

Servers not updating each other correctly. (This means sometimes the sites seem to revert back to March last year)
Invalid file ID or file not found (this is related to the above fault. hitting F5 should bring up the right page eventually)
Potds not being updated (This is a internal issue)
Server 2 Server not working (This is a internal issue)
Submitting a file can return errors (This is a internal issue but is rare)
In some browsers the sites text is shown as centred (This is a internal issue)
The online now stats not updating.
The Latest Forum posts is not updating.


These are know issues that you do not need to report and will be ignored if reported.
